WeatheredOut

Terms of use

Draft, not legal advice. This page explains in plain English how WeatheredOut works. A lawyer has not reviewed it, it may change before launch, and it should not be relied on as a legal document. Written October 2, 2026.

What WeatheredOut does

WeatheredOut is documentation software for construction contractors. You enter a jobsite, a month and the weather rules from your contract. WeatheredOut looks up observed weather from NOAA and lists the days that potentially met those rules. It calls them potential qualifying weather days under the rules you entered.

What it does not do

WeatheredOut does not give legal, engineering or scheduling advice. It does not decide whether a day changes your schedule or your price. Your contract decides that. Treat the list as a starting point, and check it against your contract and your own records.

About the weather data

  • Observations come from NOAA weather stations. A station is often miles from your jobsite, so conditions there can differ from conditions at the site. Every report names the station and its distance.
  • Data can be missing, late, or revised afterwards. If a station did not report a value for a day, the day is marked “insufficient data” instead of being guessed.
  • A ZIP code or city search uses the center of that area, not an exact point. A street address is more exact.
  • If a page shows “DEMO DATA — not real observations”, the numbers are made up for testing and are not weather records.

Your responsibility

Check the location, month and rules you entered. Keep your own daily records, photos and notices. You are responsible for what you do with a report, including what you send to an owner or anyone else.

Reports and links

Every calculation gets its own report page with a long, random address. Anyone who has the link can see the free summary. After a report is unlocked, anyone who has the link can also see the full report and download its PDF. Keep the link private if you do not want others to see it.

Reports are kept until they are deleted. To ask for a report to be deleted, see the privacy policy.

Price and payment

A full report for one location and one month costs $29 in US dollars, paid once. There is no subscription and no account. Payment is taken by Stripe, which acts as the merchant of record for the sale. WeatheredOut does not see or store your card number. A monthly Pro plan is planned and is not for sale.

Refunds are described in the refund policy.

Using the service fairly

Do not try to get another person’s report, to get a locked report without paying for it, or to overload the service. We limit how many calculations one network can run in a short time. We may block use that harms the service or other people.

When a service we rely on is down

WeatheredOut depends on public services: NOAA weather data and, for street addresses, the U.S. Census Geocoder. If one is down, you will see an error and can try again later. We may change or stop WeatheredOut.

Limits on our responsibility

WeatheredOut is provided as it is. We work to make the results correct and we show our method, but we make no promise that every result is complete or free of error. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for losses that come from relying on a report, such as schedule, pricing or claim decisions. If we are ever responsible to you for a report, the most we will pay is the amount you paid for that report. A lawyer needs to check this section against the law that applies.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when this draft was written.

Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas. Questions about them, and requests for help with a report, go to support@weatheredout.com.

WeatheredOut is documentation software. It is not legal, engineering or scheduling advice, expert testimony, or a determination of contractual entitlement. Verify results against your contract and official records.
